Clarity Service Group recruits and provides professionals in the field of education and behavior analysis. Our export staff provide an array of behavioral services to families, individuals, schools, and organizations in various consultative, contracted, and full-time roles. Our effective and compassionate approach is based on Applied Behavior Analysis, the science of learning and behavior. Ranging from intensive therapeutic intervention to professional development workshops, we have the staff and experience to meet your needs.
We are dedicated to treatment through intensive behavioral intervention, yet we are familiar with programs such as TEACCH, Floortime, and Verbal Behavior. Clarity staff members are easy to work with and collaborate well with professionals from approaches such as these.
Clarity Service Group offers professional staff for a range of services for schools and organizations. In schools, special education services for more than 6 million students between the ages of 3 and 21 are provided under the Individuals with Disabilities Act of 1997 (IDEA) (Office of Special Education, 2003), and many students with disabilities also have concurrent behavior problems in the classroom that interfere with learning (McClintock, Hall, & Oliver, 2003). When developing an IEP for these students, The team must consider the need for strategies and support systems to address any behavior that may impede the learning of the child with the disability or the learning of his or her peers (IDEA, 20 U.S.C. § 1414( d)( 3)(B)(i)).
Clarity clinical services meet these requirements and include functional behavioral assessments (FBA), functional assessment of academic behaviors (FAAB, John Brady), behavior intervention plans (BIP), learning evaluations, development of school programs, and professional development for staff. Our support services help school personnel implement IEPs and BIPs with success. Clinical services address both behavioral and academic difficulties and help parents and schools work together. Clarity’s administrative supports for school personnel include strong documentation of services, adherence to IEP goals, and an understanding of legal and ethical issues in education. We partner with many organizations, districts, and agencies to provide behavioral support, staffing, professional development and partnership.
Healthy organizations and districts continually improve staff performance and Clarity provides staff training throughout the consultation process. When working with limited resources, carefully designed training is critical, so we involve the right administrators, help clarify organizational goals, align training with existing initiatives, and develop problem-based learning activities that interest and motivate participants (Mager & Pipe, 1998; Pritchard & Marshall, 2002). Assessment of training outcomes includes multiple levels of analysis such as participant reaction, behavior change, learning, and results (Kirkpatrick, 1996).
Clarity offers expert clinical services for families seeking assessments such as the Assessment of Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS-R) (Sunberg & Partington, 2006) and functional behavior assessment (O’Neill, Horner, Albin, Sprague, Storey, & Newton, 1997; Quinn, Gable, Rutherford, Nelson, & Howell, 1998). Our staff develops and provides early intervention (Howard, Sparkman, Sparkman, Cohen, Green, & Stanislaw, 2005) and school aged programs that include 1:1 instruction and behavior support in home or as a shadow at school. Specialty areas of family consultation include potty training (Azrin & Foxx, 1989; Wheeler, 1998), feeding intervention (Dawson, Piazza, Sevin, Gulotta, Lerman, & Kelley, 2003; Mueller, Piazza, Moore, Kelley, Bethke, Pruett, Oberdorff, & Layer, 2003; Patel, Piazza, Santana, & Volkert, 2002.
